How does the system work?SkillQuest connects with your Steam account to analyze your gaming data. With that data, we generate maps, charts and reports. Our registration guide will walk you through opening a Steam account and connect it to the SkillQuest platform.

Is a Steam account required to play?Yes, the video games we analyze are commercial video games available on the Steam portal.

Do I have to open a new Steam account or can I use an existing one?It does not make any difference to SkillQuest if your Steam account is new or not. If you use an already-existing account and you have already played one or more of the games we analyze, we can generate maps, charts and a report immediately using the gaming data already collected by Steam.

Do I have to pay to sign up to Steam?No, Steam registration is free. Some games on their platform are free-to-play, while others rare pay-to-play. Whether a game is free to play or not is decided by the publisher of the video game (not Steam, not Wisepath).

Can I use Wisepath SkillQuest service if I play the video games suggested on Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo consoles?Not yet. At the moment, SkillQuest is able to retrieve gaming data only from the Steam portal. Soon we will also be able to retrieve gaming data also from the Xbox Live, Playstation Network, and Nintendo switch portals.

What data are you actually retrieving from Steam and is my data safe?We follow strict security protocol and International Privacy law to ensure your data are safe. The only data we retrieve from your Steam account are the achievements you earned with your playing activity and the total playing time at each game. All other information remains within your Steam account.

How many hours do I have to play before I can see the chart or get a report?To gather enough data to generate the maps, charts and reports, you'll need to play for 2 - 3 hours. The more you play, though, the more insightful the analysis become because we have more data to work with. The optimal playtime is around 10 hours per video game but, again, the more you play, the better the analysis.

Can you make a chart/report from game data that I’ve already played?Absolutely, yes. We can access the data and perform the analysis for any of the video games we have analyzed.

Can I share my chart on social media?We give you the opportunity to generate a PDF report that you can share however you want. Soon you'll be able to share your charts to social media directly from Wisepath’s SkillQuest service.

Do you also provide the interpretation for the charts?The SkillQuest service generates a report that summarizes your soft skills configuration so that a manager, coach, or teacher can understand which soft skills you are strong in and which you would benefit from improving further. We are working to add a brief analysis of the reports, and we have partnerships with networks of coaches and mentors that can provide you a personalized in-depth analysis, if desired.

Does SkillQuest generate charts?The SkillQuest service generates a set of maps and charts that will show your soft skills configuration, that is your predisposition as well as how you have improved certain soft skills.

Can you add my favorite game to your system?Yes, please send us the name of your favorite games and we will put them in our pipeline. Please be patient because it takes some time to analyze a video game and instruct SkillQuest on how to analyze the data.

Can you also chart my soft skills from multi-player games?Yes, some of the video games we have analyzed are multi-player games. You can play them in single use mode or with your friends. We will analyze the gaming data of all the players that have registered to SkillQuest.

I created a Steam account, connected it with my SkillQuest account, and played a video game but I don’t see any maps or charts in my Dashboard. What did I do wrong?It takes 24 hours for the analysis of your gaming data to be available on the SkillQuest dashboard in your account.

I've played a lot, but then realized the Game Details flag in my Steam profile wasn’t set to Public. Do I have to play again in order to generate the soft skills maps and charts?No, you don’t need to play again. All the data generated by your gaming activity are safely stored in your Steam account. As soon as you set the Game Details flag in your Steam profile to public, SkillQuest will be able to access the stored data and analyze it. Keep in mind that it will take 24 hours to see the result in your SkillQuest Dashboard.
